Option 1-

After School University, Module 1

3-Day Training

A structured 3-day training program designed for beginning front-line staff. Participants receive a dynamic training program delivered with After School spirit. As a foundation, all participants receive training in the four core After School components: Youth Development, Supervision + Risk Management, Homework Assistance, and Lesson Planning. Then, like any true university experience, participants select one of two academic electives to specialize in: Literacy or Math. Lastly, participants select one of four enrichment electives to build skill-sets in: Recreation, Performing Arts, Science, or Project-Based Technology.

Each course is 3 hours in duration. Participants receive a total of 18 hours of professional development, equipping them with the skill-sets needed to effectively implement a high quality After School program.

Option 2-

After School University, On-Demand

Customized Professional Development

After School University On-Demand is designed for programs that need customizable professional development. Our team can provide best-practice training in various areas (Team Building, Project-Based Learning, etc.). In addition, we can provide professional development for Module 2 front-line staff or training designed for supervisory staff. Let us know your needs and we will create a custom professional development experience designed to take your After School program from good to great!
